45 Minuten, das ist für eine 12´ gar nicht so übel. Substanz T aus Frankfurt haben fünfmal gezeigt, wie Psy-Trance funktionieren, bzw. sich anhören kann. Mit Isis ist leider nur ein tanzbarer Track dabei, der auch noch ziemlich unspektakulär ist, aber die restlichen Tracks offenbaren neue Welten. Zwischen 76 und 102 Schlaegen in der Minute wird hier der ultimative Übergang von Wachen und Träumen, Fliegen und Schweben, bewußter und unbewußter Wahrnehmung definiert.

Ein munteres bis fetziges Ravestück eröffnet den Reigen der 5 Songs starken LP von Substanz T aus Frankfurt, die Basedrum trägt den hingebungsvollen Tänzer sicher. Isis läßt aber das Spezialfeld der drei Musiker schon anklingen. Ambient vom Feinsten, weite Räume werden mit wenig Beats/ Rhytmen, leichten Melodien und abstrusen Lauten bevölkert, die viel Spielraum für phntastische Assoziation geben. Ob einsame Expeditionen im All, Nomadenfeldzüge durch die Arktis oder einfach vorzeitliche Sauriererfahrungen, der Imagination sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Die Musiker inszenieren ihre Konzerte in noch nicht fertiggestellten Tiefgaragen oder U-Bahn Schächten, um die Klangwirkungen dieser Räume zu nutzen und zu würdigen. Psychoaktive Musik zum Träumen, in Trance geraten, andere Dimensionen zu konstruieren oder sanft umhüllt getragen zu werden, ein Ohrenschmaus. Aleister Crowleys Vibrieren wird in dem Stück HLM sanft untermalt. Die anderen drei: Osiris, E280 und T280 sind eine Mischung aus ehemaligem Industrial, Acid Trance und Ambient. Einfach ausklinken, nicht denken, berauschen lassen.

After several years of silence, Substanz T finally brings us a sequel to their first album (on Apocalyptic Visions), their trance remixes LP and their glorious 45 minutes long live track on the ELECTRONIC LUST 2 sampler. With this new LP, this mystic techno trio from Frankfurt delivers us four new tracks, as well as a remix of ISIS, the fastest song of their CD. These five tracks are a beautiful kind of mid-paced strange techno. It has the melody and the flow of trance, but features a lot of sounds from more industrial releases (by the way, the band had a song on the Ant Zen sampler TEKNOIR). Every tune is very carefully created and integrate itself very well in an orchestra of percussions and slow analog progressions. Not really dancefloor-like (except for ISIS), the whole record is very approachable and catchy. The structures of the song are more straightforward and the rhythms are less broken than before. The recording is noiseless, and the samples of Genesis P. Orridge and Aleister Crowley's voice get along very well with the music. Finally, this is a fine record of industrialized techno. The sounds are really very interesting, and the music flows in a beautiful manner.
